This is me and my Mum Linda, she's the smoothie Queen of Windsor. Linda has been blending her greens for two years now and never missed a day. This babe makes smoothies for her neighbours, coworkers and recently even had her Smoothies 101 notes published on MagnaWellness.ca and I couldn't be more proud. If you need a smoothie refresher, or have been feeling like you want to clean it up a bit my Mum's article is a great place to start. Check it out here and if you're an old blending pro and want some new inspiration we've tried lots of smoothie combos and these are some of our faves. So easy, so good! Enjoy.

We got a space. We're going bananas, we're soooo excited. Aiming to open for takeout and pre-order pickup very early 2014, we'll be found at 1255 Dundas West at Dovercourt, South side. Our current delivery service will continue as usual. There is now a kilometre long to-do list, so we're going to take a blogging break. But will be posting lots of photos of THE GOODS' progress at 1255. It's sure to be an adventure. Much more information to come, we thank every gosh-darn one of you for being enthusiastic, encouraging and wonderful. Like us, follow us Facebook, Twitter and Instagram @thegoodsisgood

Bunch of Coronation Grapes Best grapes ever... coronation grapes, very popular in Canada cause they're Canadian and available only in September. I love them, they remind me of that deep purple grape juice I drank as a kid. Here is a delicious smoothie recipe that tastes just like grape juice, but with way less sugar and way more good stuff. Grape Juice Smoothie Makes 2Ls 2 leaves organic purple kale 1 handful organic spinach OR bok choy 1/4 zucchini 1 organic fuji apple 2 big handfuls coronation grapes 4 cups filtered water 10 drops stevia (optional) Blend it up, drink it down. Check your teeth. Side note: If your roomie tells you their mother never let them have grape juice as a kid cause they spilled too much, that probably means they shouldn't have grape smoothie as an adult. Confirmed.

RK_KIWI_DETOX Keep your weekday healthy eating vibe alive this weekend with this tangy detoxifying smoothie featuring kiwi, kale and cilantro. Kiwis pack quite the nutritional punch for being so small. Weight for weight they have more fiber than an apple and almost twice as much vitamin c than an orange. They are rich in antioxidants and phytonutrients which protect your body against free radicals that cause havoc to cells in the body. I could go on about kiwis, let’s talk about kale. Kale is King! I can’t get enough of this dark leafy green. It’s an anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer superfood filled with vitamins, minerals, nutrients and it pumps up the body’s natural detoxification process. Speaking of detoxification- did you know that cilantro aids in the removal of heavy metals and other toxins from the body? Yep, this little herb is an amazing detoxifier and anti-inflammatory superherb. Kiwi Detox Smoothie                                                                                                            *makes 2 servings*
 2 kiwis
1 cup cucumber
1 cup kale (packed)
1 handful of cilantro
1 apple
3 cups cold water

RK_LIVER LOVER                                                      Indulged a little too much this past long weekend? I know my body could use a mini detox (hmmm, maybe yours can too) so I’m going to share my current favorite liver-loving smoothie recipe starring the BEET. Beets are a wonderful tonic for the liver and they're high in betacyanin, which has cancer-fighting properties. Plus, they’re full of magnesium, iron, zinc and calcium to help flush out toxins. Yeah, they pretty much rock the bod. Liver Lover Smoothie *makes 3 servings* 2 beets 1 cup raspberries 1 apple 1/2 lemon juiced 1 cup zucchini 1 cup cucumber 4 cups of water
