I know my body could use a mini detox (hmmm, maybe yours can too) so I’m going to share my current favorite liver-loving smoothie recipe starring the BEET. Beets are a wonderful tonic for the liver and they're high in betacyanin, which has cancer-fighting properties. Plus, they’re full of magnesium, iron, zinc and calcium to help flush out toxins. Yeah, they pretty much rock the bod. Liver Lover Smoothie *makes 3 servings* 2 beets 1 cup raspberries 1 apple 1/2 lemon juiced 1 cup zucchini 1 cup cucumber 4 cups of water

Today we are especially excited, we have a new goodie joining our daily team. Raina Kirn is a long time friend of both Cat and mine. She has incredible style and a passion for real food. Come on, she's a West coaster, it's in her blood. Raina's first order of business is to bring the Nori Bowl to lunch delivery. This salad is made with crunchy napa cabbage and spinach, peppers, cucumber and organic edamame. Topped with a sprinkling of black sesame and shredded nori. Mix it all up with a creamy ginger-miso dressing and a side of rice. It is delicious! More exciting updates to come from THE GOODS... maybe we can even convince Raina to do a food photo blog or two...
