It's a short which he co-wrote about an encounter that actually happened to him when he was in art school. Maybe I'm biased, but I loved it. So much fun, the suspense! Check it out while you can, word on the street is TIFF's only giving access until the end of the week. Good job Nially Coyote, I'm so impressed with you.

Woody Harrelson has always been my favourite actor, kind of interesting looking back as I knew little about him then other than a few of his movies. If you don't know he is very active in the vegan community and is a raw foodist, plus he speaks his mind on numerous other tough topics... basically the guy knows what's up. Video above was edited to Woody's politically charged pome Thoughts From Within.

photo cred Cat This is going to be the easiest blog entry ever.  In short was responsible to provide dinner for 4 this past Saturday night. Had 2 extra salads from The Goods so I mixed them up, divided by 4, grilled some gorge fresh wild salmon and Bob's your Uncle. I looked like a culinary goddess (it was for some out-of-towners so didn't have to mention that Lisa actually made them - they didn't' ask, I didn't say), I was happy knowing that beautiful food was being served and best of all - Zero preparation. So with warm nights and dinner parties getting underway - make it easy for yourself. Order a couple of salads - pick 'em up at MISFITSTUDIO, (if we don't already deliver to your office) and serve them as a glorious side to whatever floats your boat. Or even easier, just order everyone their own salad and you'll have even less to do. Yessssss, my kinda meal yo.

photo cred CAT So I threw my eldest a rainbow themed birthday party last weekend and I must admit, I outdid myself. So much so that one of the kids was actually heard saying "your Mommy is a really good baker". She was referring to my out-of-this-world rainbow cake, to which the response was "I know", like it was common knowledge (bless). And let me tell you, praise from a 5 year old is pretty epic. I might have to document that somewhere officially so when the kids are teenagers, and I'm not as cool, I can remind them (which will probably make me even more uncool....oh well). None-the-less.  As parents we're faced with the dilemma of wanting the party to be fun and delicious yet not just a sea of candy. So to ease my conscience I made a fruit and veg platter in rainbow colours and limited the edibles in the loot bags. I iced homemade banana muffins, offered some rainbow crafts and they bounced in a bouncy castle. All in all, a great time was had and the sugar didn't rule supreme for a change.

I was looking to post an interview with Carol Alt, the 52 year old, gorgeous model who also happens to be an advocate for a high raw lifestyle.  And it turned into double time when Strombo admitted he'd gone vegan... clearly a bit uncomfortable in his new skin but he's trying. I love what Carol has to say, such a good attitude. Here is another good vid if you want to hear more from her.
