Let’s talk probiotics. Did you know that it means “For life”, as opposed to Antibiotics which mean “against life”?
This sh*t is soooo good for you. Probiotics are essential to basic human nutrition. They are live microorganisms (in most cases, bacteria) that are similar to the beneficial microorganisms naturally found in the human gut. These “good bacteria” are used to prevent and alleviate many different conditions.
Where can you find good probiotics? In fermented foods like miso, kimchi, sauerkraut and kombucha. Another option is in supplement format via fridges in any good health store. Oh yes, don’t be fooled by the easy pill format on the shelf. These puppies have to be ‘live’ to be effective so only get ones that need to be refrigerated.
N.b. Ditch the greek yogurt for your probiotic intake, the stuff is so toxic to our environment it far outweighs any good it does in your body.
