Blueberry Beauty

I was so inspired by Lisa’s Cinnamon Banana Shake that I decided to make my own dessert smoothie.  Well actually, if truth be known, Kods asked me to make him a smoothie for dinner and as I had just cut up a pineapple (that was rather tasteless) I figured I’d throw it in for sure and make a sweeter smoothie than usual.  What I created kinda rocked my world and since there wasn’t a drop left of it when I returned to the kitchen 10 minutes later, I’ll assume Kods was a fan as well.

Blueberry Beauty

5 stems of purple organic kale
2 cups water
3/4 a fresh pineapple (core removed)
1 cup frozen organic blueberries
2 heaping tbsp of hemp hearts

Yields approximately 1.5 litres

Throw it all in the Vitamix/blender and blend until smooth.  If you’d like to make a thicker smoothie, add some ice but reduce the amount of water.

I think I may re-create this smoothie and make it into IcePops for the little one…
